The Sicilian Open is a European Tour men's professional golf tournament. It was played for the first time in 2011. The event was held in the Sicily region of Italy at the Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa. In 2012 the event will be held at Verdura Golf & Spa Resort on a links-style course running up to the coastline.
March 29th to the 1st of April on the European Tour this week we have the Sicilian Open, which is worth a million Euros. It will be held at the Verdura Golf & Spa Resort in Sicily, Italy. This tournament started last year, held then at the Donnafugata Golf Resort and Spa and was won by Raphael Jacquelin. The two tournaments that will follow this one are the Master's Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, the Untied States, from April 5th to the 8th, and the April 12th to the 15th Maybank Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur.
