On the LPGA Tour this week, the Kraft Nabisco Championship will be held. This ladies golf tournament is the last of three events to be played in the month of March and happens in Rancho Mirage, California. This match will happen from March 29th to the 1st of April and will be held for $2,000,000. The other two LPGA tournaments being held in March are the RR Donnellley LPGA Founder's Cup, which happens March 15th through the 18th. Then, the Kia Classic was held from the 22nd to the 25th of March in Carlsbad, California.
The 2011 Champion for the Kraft Nabisco Championship was Stacy Lewis who had a winning score of 66-69-71-69 for 275 and thirteen under. She beat the runner up, Yani Tseng, by three strokes. The field this year consists of Heather Bowie Young, Laura Davies, Nicole Castrale and Christel Boeljon as well as Amanda Bluemenherst and Katie Futcher. Sandra Gal will also be playing along with Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis. Jay Marie Green is also on the field this year.
