On the PGA Tour this week, the RBC Canadian Open, happening at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ancaster, Ontario in Canada. The purse is $5,200,000, with 500 FedEx Cup points up for grabs and the tournament dates are from the 26th of July to the 29th. The defending champion is Sean O'Hair, taking home $936,000 last year. The next event on the calendar will be the Reno-Tahoe Open, at the Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, Nevada, August 2nd through the 5th and the the World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational.
The winner of this event gets to take home $936,000 once again, plus 500 Fedex Cup points are up as well in this tournament. The previous tournament was The Open Championship, held at the Royal Lytham St. Anne and won by Ernie Els. Some of the players in the RBC Canadian Open include Blake Adams, Jim Furyk and George McNeill. Some of the others that will be playing are Bobby Gates, Sean O'Hair, Stuart Appleby, Nick O'Hern and Brian Gay as well as Jeff Overton, Tom Gillis, Ricky Barnes and Kris Blanks.

ON the LPGA Tour next, the LPGA Evian Masters, held from the 26th of July to the 29th and presented by Societe Generale in Evian-les-Bains, France, with a $3,250,000 purse. This event will be followed by the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic presented by Kroger, Owens Corning and O-I, held in Sylvania, Ohio from August 9th to the 12th and after that, the series will be playing the $1,500,000 Safeway Classic, presented by Coca-Cola, which will be held August 17th through the 19th in North Plains, Oregon, in the United States.

The previous tournament on the LPGA Tour was the U.S. Women's Open which was held in Kohler, Wisconsin with a $3,250,000 purse. The winner of that tournament was Na Yeon Choi. Some of the participants in this week's LPGA Evian Masters will include Sandra Gal and Julie Inkster as well as Amanda Blumenherst, Carly Booth, Chella Choi and Helen Alfredsson. Na Yeon Choi will be playing in this event as well along with Paula Creamer and Laura Davies. Katie Futcher is expected to attend as is Wendy Doolan.

This week on the Champions Tour, the Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex will be held from the 26th of July to the 29th. It happens at the Turnberry Club on the Ailsa Course in Turnberry, Scotland. The purse is $2,000,000 and the defending champion is Russ Cochran who walked away with $315,600 last year. From August 3rd to the 5th will be the 3M Championship at the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota, with a $1,750,000 purse. After that the Champions Tour holds the Dick's Sporting Goods Open starting August 3rd.

The most recent tournament on the PGA Champion's Tour was the U.S. Senior Open Championship, held at the Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Lake Orion, Michigan. Roger Chapman came out ahead at that tournament, which was held July 12th through the 15th, taking home $500,000 of the $2,600,000 purse. Some of the names that will be playing in this event include some of the current Charles Schwab contenders, led right now by Tom Lehman, followed by Roger Chapman in second and Bernhard Langer in third.

On the Web.com Tour this week, the newly named Nationwide Tour, the Childrens Hospital Classic happens from the 26th of July to the 29th. This event happens at the OSU Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio with an eight hundred thousand dollar purse. The defending champ is Harris English. Next on the Web.com Tour, the Cox Classic presented by Lexus of Omaha. It happens at Champions Run in Omaha, Nebraska and will be followed by the August 9th through the 12th Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper.

This event features a purse of $800,000 with the winner taking home $114,000. The most recent tournament on the Web.com Tour was the Utah Championship which was presented by the Utah Sports Commission. It happened at the Willow Creek Country Club in Sandy Utah with a $550,000 purse, July 12th through the 15th. Doug LaBelle II won the event, taking home $99,000. Some of the players that will be participating in the tournament this week include Tag Ridings, Andy Bare, Justin Hicks, Tom Hoge and Steven Alker.
